A handsome solid oak Arts & Crafts armchair featuring an attractive hand-woven rush seat and beautifully carved Gothic-style arcaded backrest. The chair has shaped open arms, turned front supports and decorative acorn finials, all crafted from richly grained oak with a warm golden-brown patina.
 
The rush seat is in good condition with an attractive traditional four-way weave, providing both comfort and character. The chair is sturdy and solid, making it equally suitable as a dining armchair, occasional chair, hallway seat or decorative accent piece.
 
Dating from approximately the 1920s–1930s, this is a quality example of English Arts & Crafts furniture with Gothic Revival influences.
 
Good antique condition with age-related marks and wear consistent with use.
