A characterful antique oak two-drawer side table / small chest, with an attractive dark finish and plenty of age and character.
 
The piece features two useful drawers, each fitted with a pair of brass drop handles, and stands on elegant turned legs with castors to the feet.
 
The oak has a particularly attractive grain to the top and a rich, warm colour that suits the traditional design beautifully. Its compact proportions make it a versatile piece that could be used as a side table, hall table, lamp table or small chest of drawers.
 
This is an older, well-used piece and does show signs of its age. There are ring marks and other surface marks to the top, as shown in the photographs.
 
It also appears that the drawer handles have been changed at some point in its life. Some previous screw holes and areas of discolouration remain visible around the current handles.
 
These imperfections have been left as part of the piece's history and character rather than being disguised or refinished.
 
Overall, a lovely traditional piece of oak furniture with a nicely aged appearance and plenty of character.
