A lovely antique pine chest of drawers, with a simple traditional design and plenty of genuine age and character.
 
The chest features three large, full-width drawers, providing a generous amount of storage. Each drawer is fitted with a pair of decorative brass drop handles, while the fronts retain their attractive natural pine grain, knots and variations in colour.
 
The drawers have traditional dovetail jointed construction, and the chest stands on a simple plinth base with a shaped opening to the front.
 
The pine has a lovely warm, aged appearance which would work particularly well in a country, farmhouse, cottage or rustic interior.
 
As to be expected with an antique piece, there are various marks, scratches, knocks and signs of wear throughout. There are some chips and losses to the moulded beading around the top, as shown in the photographs.
 
There are also some old woodworm holes, common with items of this age. The drawers have some marks and residue internally, which may be remnants of glue from previous drawer liners.
 
Overall, a very characterful and useful antique chest with the imperfections and wear you would expect from a piece that has seen many years of use.
