A stylish 1930s Art Deco wardrobe, believed to be by renowned British furniture manufacturer Harris Lebus.
 
This wardrobe is part of a matching bedroom suite, with other pieces from the same suite bearing Lebus maker's labels available. Although we have not found a label on the wardrobe itself, its matching design and provenance strongly suggest that it is also by Lebus.
 
The wardrobe has an attractive period design, with a single full-height central door, decorative veneered detailing and elegant shaped feet. The warm wood finish and clean, streamlined design are characteristic of the Art Deco period.
 
Internally, the wardrobe provides a generous amount of hanging space and is fitted with two hanging rails running from front to back, one positioned on either side of the wardrobe.
The wardrobe has its key and is lockable.
 
It is in good vintage condition overall, with general minor marks and signs of previous use consistent with its age. There is some noticeable fading/discolouration to the finish on both sides, as shown in the photographs.
 
A lovely and practical piece of British Art Deco bedroom furniture with a particularly attractive and unusual design.
