A very attractive vintage Art Deco four-drawer chest of drawers, believed to be by British furniture manufacturer Lebus.
 
This chest was acquired as part of a matching bedroom suite, with other pieces from the same suite retaining original Lebus maker's labels. Although we have not found a label on this particular piece, its matching design and provenance suggest that it is also by Lebus.
 
The chest features four generously sized full-width drawers, providing plenty of useful storage whilst its taller proportions make it a practical choice where floor space is limited.
 
Each drawer is fitted with a pair of attractive decorative dark metal handles, which contrast nicely with the warm wood finish. The drawer fronts display attractive grain and figuring, while the shaped apron to the base adds further period character.
 
The chest is in good vintage condition overall, with general minor marks and signs of previous use consistent with its age. There is some fading and discolouration to the finish, particularly across the top, as can be seen in the photographs.
 
A particularly attractive and useful piece of Art Deco bedroom furniture, offering plenty of practical storage.
