Collection

 

Do you accept courier collections?

 

Yes, we are happy to accept courier collections for our website items. The majority of our furniture is collected this way.

 

We aren’t able to accept courier collections for Ebay listings however. This is due to requirements by Ebay and Paypal that items are sent via an online tracked means of delivery.


When can we collect?

 

Collection can be at a pre-arranged time Monday – Friday between 10am – 4pm. We would need at least one full working day’s notice in order to ensure that someone will be available and the item is in our collection area.

 

Are your items packaged?

 

No, our items aren’t packaged so that they are clearly visible on collection. Couriers normally have their own blankets to protect furniture in transit.

 

Are there any stairs?

 

No, we are ground floor with plenty of parking space.

 

Can you help me load my item?

 

Yes, we will be happy to help with loading your item, although please note that this is at your own risk. By accepting assistance when loading, couriers and customers take full responsibility for any damage which may occur to the item when loading. Please make sure that the item will fit into your vehicle.

 

How much does the item weigh?

 

Unfortunately we don’t have big enough scales to weigh items, but the weight is not something that couriers usually require.

 

Can we collect at the weekend or in the evening?


Collection from our main premises (CV7 9EL) is only available Monday – Friday between 10am – 4pm.

 

If you aren’t able to collect within these hours then we may be able to organise for items to be transported to Rugby (CV23 9GB) for collection out of hours. This would be at an additional cost of £30 for small – medium size items. Please check availability for larger items such as dining sets.

Payment

 

What payment methods do you accept?

 

Payment can be by cash on collection, BACs to our business bank account or cheques made out to “Little Acorn Country Interiors” (cleared before collection).

 

Do you accept card payments?

 

We are looking into accepting card payments, although this would mean increasing our prices due to the processing fees. This is something we are reluctant to pass onto our customers.

 

Do you accept Paypal?

 

No, we are unable to accept Paypal payments. Paypal stipulates that items are sent via an online tracked means of delivery such as Royal Mail, Evri etc. However, specialised furniture couriers and man and van services aren’t able to provide this. Therefore, due to risk of fraud, we aren’t able to accept Paypal payments for furniture items that are collected from us.

General FAQs

 

Do you accept offers?

 

No, we always put our best prices on our website. We keep the best offer price on Ebay to indicate to customers that a better price is available. However, we will never sell items for less than the website price. We will also not accept offers of the website price on our Ebay listings, as the Ebay listing price is to include Ebay fees.

 

Can we come to view all your furniture?

 

In order to offer as wide a range of furniture as possible, we are mostly based online and have the majority of our furniture in storage unless a collection is scheduled.

 

Unfortunately we don’t have the room available to have all of our items on display and we don’t have a showroom open to the public due to this.

 

If there is a particular item that you wanted to view then please feel free to email to check if viewing would be available, but this is not always possible due to the above.

 

We do however accept cash on collection as a payment option, therefore you are always welcome to double-check items before taking them away.

 

Why are your items listed at a higher price on Ebay?

 

This is to include the Ebay selling fees that we incur through Ebay sales and also the increased admin cost.

 

Can I return an item?

 

In the unlikely event that you aren’t happy with your item and a courier collected it, you are welcome to return for a full refund (unless the item was stored for longer than our stipulated seven day collection period, in which case storage fees would need to be deducted at a rate of £10 per day).

 

Items must be returned to us in the same condition that they were collected in. You must notify us within seven days of the item being collected from us and then have the item returned to us within seven days.  

We are unable to accept returns for items collected in person. Please check that you are happy with the item on collection.
